Dear Clients,
All appointments require a minimum booking fee of £15 depending on service booked and length of appointment. This is to be paid within 24 hours of booking or the appointment may be given without notice to someone else.
A minimum of 48 hours notice is required if you need to change the day of your appointment. An appointment can be moved once with the minimum notice without charge.
48-24 hours notice – the booking fee paid is forfeit, a new booking fee must be paid to secure your next appointment.
Less than 24 hours notice/ no show to your appointment – the full cost of your service will be charged. Payment must be received before a new appointment can be made.
If you wish to make changes to your appointment that will reduce the length of time needed 48 hours notice is required or the longer service charge will still apply.
Please arrive on time for your appointment; I know arriving early cannot always be helped but arriving very early may not be convenient even if I am not with a client.
Arriving late to your appointment will mean a reduced service is carried out, if it is possible, to prevent running over into my next appointment time, the full cost of your service will still apply as the time was allotted to you.
Regular lateness may result in future appointments being refused.
Over 15 minutes late, unfortunately I will have to cancel your appointment, the full cost of your appointment will be charged and must be paid before a new appointment is given.
The above policies also apply to gift voucher appointments. Any amount owing will be taken from the gift voucher value.
I understand that sometimes things can happen you were not expecting, or difficulties arise that can make keeping a scheduled appointments harder, however, unexpected changes or hours not working add up to a substantial loss at the end of a month which would make my business unsustainable. These policies ensure I can continue my business. I cannot offer any exceptions or favours.
Thank you for being considerate of my business and my time, it is very much appreciated.
Selina x
If you want your nails to last well between appointments it’s really important to follow all the aftercare given. It will make a big difference!
Your nails are most vulnerable in the first 48 hours after application
Your nail enhancement is hard but it’s still curing and bonding so take extra care for the first couple of days
Avoid prolonged contact with water
Long baths, hot tubs, swimming. If you do need to soak try keeping your nails out of the water. Avoid altogether in the hours before your appointment and for 24 hours after
Protect your beautiful nails from ANY chemicals
When cleaning or washing up always wear gloves.
Always wash your hands after contact with chlorine, insect repellent, cleaning products, sun cream and Lanolin, follow up with a good hand cream
Gardening
Dirt ruins the shine, gets trapped making them look grim and lifts the product off your nail ruining what you just paid for; always wear gardening gloves!
Don’t pick, bite or peel your nails
Doing any of these will remove layers of your own nail that will then leave them flimsy, weak and even sore and take weeks or months to grow out…just not worth it..
If you want your nails removing have them removed properly in salon
Don’t use your nails as tools
They’re built strong but not that strong! Lifting ring pulls, peeling stickers, pulling wet washing out the machine etc, they will all put stress on your nail and cause breakdown. Remember, your nails are jewels not tools
Avoid filing or cutting your nails between appointments
It can cause lifting and let water or dirt under your gel or acrylics. Don’t stick lifted nails back down with glue, you could be trapping dirt and bacteria in there. Book a repair appointment in salon
Apply cuticle oil at least twice a day
Apply all around your nail including the underneath. It’s not a gimmick…there are lots of benefits including promoting healthy nail growth, hydrates the skin, improves nail flexibility and it helps prolong your nail enhancements. Oil is that important it’s always available to buy in salon
Keep regular maintenance appointments
All nail services should be maintained at 2-3 week intervals, going longer is not recommended by gel and acrylic manufacturers, we need to see everything is ok regularly
Stay well hydrated
Dehydrated nails will eventually curl away from your acrylic/gel causing splits, breaks and lifting. Drink plenty of water to avoid breakdown
